BORING & DIRECTIONAL DRILL CLEARING

Utility locates play a critical role in soil borings by providing essential information about the presence and location of underground utilities. UTILITY MAPPING & MODELING

PROJECT GPR provides mapping and modeling for the engineering and design phase of any project.  Early knowledge of subsurface utility locations allows the project team to adjust the design around existing utilities to provide more accurate bids, avoiding costly change orders and damages to underground utilites.

OUR EQUIPMENT

GROUND PENETRATING RADAR (GPR)

Ground penetrating radar sends radio waves into the subsurface.  Changes in material composition cause the waves to bounce back to the receiver alerting the operator of a subsurface object.    GPR is useful in detecting metallic and non-metallic utilities.  Non-metallic utilities are only detectible by GPR.

TRACABLE RODDERS & SONDES

Traceable rodders and sondes are critical in determining deeper non-metalic pipes.  Often sanitary taps can only be located using a traceable rodder or sonde.  They are inserted into the pipe and located from the surface above, giving depth and location.

EM LOCATING AND INDUCTION (EMI)

EM locating is a combined system including a transmitter and reciever that emits and decects radio waves.  These waves travel along metallic objects and are translated by the reciever.  Induction is useful when a utility does not surface or cannot be accessed at the surface.  

HIGH-ACCURACY GEOLOCATION RECIEVERS

Accuracy is critical when mapping and modeling underground infrastructure.  Geolocation recievers gather information from satelites and cell towers.  The information is then run through a correction algorithigm to give an exact location.  Our recievers have sub-inch accuracy.

CONCRETE CORING

In most applications, concrete coring presents a risk to rebar damage or conduit damages.  We use multiple technologies to locate the position and depth of these items so that a safe and accurate penetration can be made.

Concrete sawing presents similar risks as concrete coring - rebar, cables, or conduit damages.  Using multiple technologies we locate the position and depth of these items so that a safe and accurate penetration can be made.

ENGINEERING & RENOVATION

When an existing reinforced structure needs structural renovation, the location of subsurface objects is critical.  In older structures, the location of rebar may be needed to create as builts for structural analysis.
